Nelson Aguilar-Salamanca, 55, was a construction worker from Maryland. On December 30th, 2019, he was tragically killed at a construction site where he was working at, when he was struck by a piece of rebar. The construction site, which was located in McLean, Virginia, is currently being investigated by the Major Crimes Bureau, as well as the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health program. The department is now waiting to hear back from the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy results to confirm the victim’s cause of death.
