Fatal Car Accident in Richmond
June 2020 – Fatal Morning Car Crash near crossroads on Forest Hill Avenue.
On June 24th, 2020, two people passed away and a third was left with injuries after a car crash on Forest Hill Avenue, not far from the Crossroads Coffee and Ice Cream Restaurant and a nearby creek. It has been reported that emergency personnel arrived at the scene a little after 1:00 AM, to provide prompt assistance and assess the situation. One of the cars involved drove over a guardrail and into an embankment at a creek near the restaurant. It is still not clear how and why the driver lost control, but the accident resulted in Forest Hill Avenue being closed to traffic all the way from Roanoke Street up to Dundee Avenue.
Meanwhile, specialized personnel worked to retrieve the car from the embankment. The authorities are still investigating the accident, with a particular focus on trying to determine why the aforementioned car crashed over the guardrail, and what might have caused the driver to struggle in the first place.
